Psyckadeli is currently in an exciting phase where the band’s music has taken new steps forward. With a new vocalist who has taken on a major and natural role in the band, the overall expression has grown, while the energy and identity have become even stronger.
We come from a clear hard rock background, but we have always had the desire to explore more than just one style of expression. In many ways, our music is born out of the classic “war” between hard rock and synth during the 1980s – that feeling of two worlds standing against each other, while in reality they had much to gain from coming together.
That is exactly where we find our creative drive: what happens when you mix different musical influences? When an interest in older music meets inspiration from the modern era? We want to create songs with a contemporary sound while carrying clear traces of what came before us.
For us, music can begin anywhere – with a handclap, a lyric line, a guitar riff, or a feeling that appears in the moment. What matters most is not who in the band brings the idea, but how the final song feels when everything falls into place. That is why we always try to maintain a common thread, even when the music moves between different styles and influences.
Our lyrics are shaped by our own experiences and personal journeys. Sometimes they become so personal that they almost feel exposing, touching on subjects that many others may avoid bringing up. That is exactly why it is important for us to write honestly and without filters – music should be able to connect with people on a real level.
Another important part of our work is the connection between the recording and the stage. There should be clear parallels to the live performance, and we record our music in a way that allows it to be performed live with the same power, nerve, and presence. We believe that development is about moving forward without losing your roots – and that is exactly where our music stands today.
On April 24, we released our new album One Way In No Way Out. We would be happy to tell you more about the band and the music, take part in interviews, and send additional material if you would like to review us.
